2027 Ford Bronco: prices, the 3.0 V6, RTR and Filson, and what Ford dropped
The 2027 Bronco is the same sixth-generation truck with a reshuffled lineup: a 380-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 replaces the 2.7, RTR and Filson join, Stroppe leaves, and several once-standard items move into option packages. Here is what Ford has confirmed and what the dealer order guide adds.
Not a redesign. A reshuffle.
Ford published its own “2027 Bronco: everything you need to know” on October 12, 2026, and the changes are powertrain, trims, seats and colors, not sheetmetal. Ford’s Bronco engineers have said the truck gets steady incremental updates rather than a traditional mid-cycle refresh. Order banks opened October 13; full pricing was promised “in the coming weeks,” and a dealer-published price list has since circulated.
Updated November 7, 2026. Items are marked CONFIRMED when they come from the manufacturer and REPORTED when they come from order guides, dealers or the automotive press and the maker has not published them yet. We update this page as the model year fills in.

- 2.3-liter EcoBoost four

The fine print
What moved into option packages
Ford’s page covers the headline changes. The order guide, as read by dealers and the press, shows some de-contenting worth knowing about before you compare a 2027 price to a 2026 one. reported
- Outer Banks
- Power front seats and leather are no longer standard; cloth is. Leather-trimmed seating moved to premium vinyl in the Lux package. LED signature headlamps and LED taillamps come off Outer Banks and Badlands as standard and return as a $595 option (LED taillamps alone, $275, on Badlands). Avalanche Gray is no longer offered on Outer Banks.
- Mid package
- Loses remote start and the dual smart-charging USB ports, which move up to the Lux package (reported at $3,825). Big Bend’s Mid package gains the heated steering wheel.
- Audio and connectivity
- Some Lux packages go from the 12-speaker to a 10-speaker B&O system, with the 12-speaker a $100 option on Outer Banks and four-door Badlands Lux. A 5G modem is standard.
- Towing
- Ford has not published 2027 tow ratings. The 2026 figures were 3,500 pounds with the Class II trailer tow package and 4,500 pounds for the Raptor; for 2027 most series use a $480 dealer-installed receiver.
- Sasquatch pricing
- Reported at $8,460 manual / $6,465 automatic on Base, $6,175 / $4,180 on Big Bend (requires Black Diamond), $6,465 on Outer Banks (automatic only), $6,345 / $4,350 on Badlands; standard on Heritage and Filson. Content is unchanged: 35-inch tires on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, front and rear lockers, 4.7 final drive, high-clearance suspension and Bilstein position-sensitive shocks, plus the sway-bar disconnect on Badlands.
- Black Appearance package
- New on Big Bend and Outer Banks, with steel wheels.
- Colors
- Neptune Blue replaces Velocity Blue (extra cost; $495 reported). confirmed Field Green ($995) is Filson-only and Iron Sands Copper Metallic ($995) is limited to the Filson First Edition. Orange Fury is dropped. reported
When
Order banks, production and the hybrid question
- Order banks
- Opened October 13, 2026, per Ford’s order guide of the same date. reported
- Build & Price
- Ford’s online configurator was not yet live for 2027 as of late October. reported
- Production
- Ford has not published a Job 1 date for the 2027 Bronco. Dealers say 2026 production was being scheduled through late December 2026, which puts the 2027 build after that. RTR deliveries are expected in January 2027 and the first Filsons in early 2027. reported
- Hybrid
- Ford’s chief executive said in March 2026 that everything Ford sells, Bronco included, will offer a hybrid, with no date. confirmed Automotive News reported in August 2026, citing unnamed sources, that a Bronco hybrid launches sometime in 2027 and a Bronco pickup near the end of the decade; Ford declined to comment. The “2027 Bronco” plug-in reported in Europe is a separate crossover. reported
Drive it before you order it
Get to know the Bronco before you buy it
The 2027 changes are a new engine option and new equipment packages on the same body and frame, so the Bronco you can drive today on the Carova 4x4 beach is a fair baseline, though not a stand-in for the 3.0 V6 or the RTR’s suspension. Bring your family, pick up the keys at an oceanfront hotel in Kitty Hawk, and spend five and a half hours driving a Bronco, including about three on the Carova 4x4 beach north of Corolla. No salesperson meets you or rides along. Afterward you receive one written No-Haggle Price from a participating dealer for the 2027 series and packages you want.

Questions
Straight answers about the Bronco
What is new on the 2027 Ford Bronco?
A 380-horsepower 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 replaces the 2.7-liter as the optional engine on Outer Banks, Badlands and Heritage; the RTR and Filson series are new; the Stroppe Edition, Free Wheeling package and 60th Anniversary package are gone; Neptune Blue replaces Velocity Blue; and several formerly standard items on Outer Banks and Badlands move into option packages. The body, frame and roof system carry over.
How much is a 2027 Ford Bronco?
Ford had not published full pricing as of early November 2026, beyond saying the RTR starts just over $50,000. Ford’s dealer price list, as published by dealers, shows Base $41,295, Big Bend $41,995, Outer Banks $47,190, Badlands $48,890, RTR $50,790, Heritage $52,125, Filson $74,995 and Raptor $79,995, all before the $1,995 destination charge.
Did Ford drop the 2.7-liter V6 from the Bronco?
For 2027, yes. The 2.7 is absent from the order guide and the 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, at 380 horsepower and 440 pound-feet, takes its place as the available upgrade, reportedly for $3,795 on four-door Outer Banks, Badlands and Heritage models. The 2.3-liter four-cylinder remains standard.
What is the Bronco RTR?
A new 2027 series developed with Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR, four-door only, using the 2.3-liter with its own calibration including anti-lag turbo control and upgraded cooling, with a 10-speed automatic. Front and rear lockers, 33-inch tires on beadlock-capable wheels, steel bumpers and bash plates are standard; the $5,080 Sasquatch with RTR Suspension package adds HOSS 3.0 Fox internal-bypass dampers, 35-inch tires and the Ford Performance modular front bumper. Ford says it starts just over $50,000 and tops out just under $60,000 before destination, with deliveries expected in January 2027.
What is the Bronco Filson?
A new top non-Raptor series for 2027, done with the Seattle outfitter Filson, replacing the Stroppe Edition. It comes with the 3.0-liter V6, Sasquatch with Filson-tuned HOSS 3.0 Fox dampers, the Lux package, leather heated and ventilated seats, painted Sasquatch fender flares and power running boards, and exclusive Field Green paint; the $78,985 First Edition adds Iron Sands Copper Metallic, steel bash plates and a serialized badge. The reported price is $74,995 before destination.
Is there a 2027 Bronco hybrid?
Not in the 2027 order guide. Ford’s chief executive has said every Ford, Bronco included, will offer a hybrid, and Automotive News has reported a Bronco hybrid for sometime in 2027, but Ford has not announced one and nothing hybrid appears in the 2027 Bronco order guide.
When will the 2027 Bronco be at dealers?
Order banks opened October 13, 2026. Ford has not announced a production start; dealers expect 2027 builds to begin after 2026 production wraps in late December, with RTR deliveries from January 2027 and Filson in early 2027.
Does the 2027 Bronco Outer Banks still come with leather?
Not as standard. For 2027 the Outer Banks has cloth seats and manual adjustment as standard, the Lux package trims the seats in premium vinyl rather than leather, and leather is gone from the Badlands entirely. The 3.0-liter V6 becomes available on the Outer Banks for the first time.
